Science and history tell us that we need to act now to address invasive species on island ecosystems, where 75% of bird, amphibian, mammal and reptile extinctions have occurred. Many of those extinctions have been caused by invasive species. We need to act before the island reaches its tipping point that could result in the demise of the ashy and Leach’s storm-petrels, Farallon arboreal salamander, Farallon camel cricket, or other species. We need to act to remove the invasive house mouse before it is too late.
